In May 2022, we were pleased to reveal the results of our "Rethinking The Bards of Wales" and "Family Circle" schools competitions. We received a wide range of wonderful artwork - mostly from Hungary and the UK, but also from Transylvania (Romania) and Felvidék (Slovakia).

Our esteemed panel of judges included Máté Vincze, then Director of Liszt Institute (Hungarian Cultural Centre London), Boglárka Gali, Director of the János Arany Memorial Museum in Nagyszalonta, Dr Márta Minier from the University of South Wales, Montgomery Town Crier Sue Blower, Montgomery-based artist Josette Gresty, and Eric Bowen - a long-term enthusiast of Welsh-Hungarian friendship from Seattle, US.

The awarded entries were later displayed on Montgomery Hungarian Day and at the János Arany Memorial Museum in Nagyszalonta. Shortly after Hungarian Day, the winning pupils also received their well-earned certificate and a small gift - courtesy of the Liszt Institute (Hungarian Cultural Centre London), SPAR Montgomery, Bunners, The Old Stores B&B and Eaves & Lord Bookshop.
